  • About Us

Jennifer Mae: "I am a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Film and Media Studies. Photography and Video have been a passion of mine since I was only 11 years old. The thing that I love most about shooting weddings, is getting to know the couples and becoming friends in the process!

Chris: "I am also a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Film and Media Studies. I have worked in the entertainment industry for as long as I can remember. The thing that I love most about shooting weddings, may sound pretty cliche, but it's true. I love capturing one of the happiest days in someone's life."

  • Why do we shoot weddings?

We love weddings! Everything about them! Each experience to us is fresh, new and exciting. We are definitely not the company that you hire if you are looking for someone to show up and hit record. Our passion is story telling and that is exactly what we do... Tell your story. We understand what it feels like to go through the process of a wedding :-) as we are a husband wife team and we have been there ourselves! One of the most important things in you coming together is that you are both individuals and we look for the unique qualities that make you fit perfectly as a couple! A wedding is much more than saying "I do". It is many days, months and in most cases many years in the making. We put as much love into capturing your day as you have put into creating it! We love working with couples who are as passionate about us capturing their wedding as we are :-) We would love to hear about your big day!

This was such a fun Save the Date!!! We were able to recreate an old melodrama hero/villain silent film. Sam was such a fantastic villain or as he wanted to call it…a Willain. Sadaf was a stunning serial queen and was seriously a trouper. She suffered though the cold weather, dirt, and being tied to the train tracks…

We hope you enjoy another fun and unique {Save the Date}!!!!

What a lovely day that Eusebius and Laura had for their May wedding at Cinnabar Hills Golf Club. The weather was absolutely perfect. Laura looked stunning in her gorgeous dress! I looked all around for the perfect dress shot and when I walked out back I saw the stunning gazebo. It had dark wood, roses and vines. I was simply thrilled when it fit perfect under the same arch that they would soon be exchanging their vows.

Both Laura and Eusebius were extremely calm and relaxed all day. It was such a perfect location to fulfill the best of both worlds, an outdoor ceremony and a reception that had a really nice indoor/outdoor feel and Britney from Cinnabar Hills Golf Club was so friendly and thoughtful!

We had the opportunity to work with Vincent from Vincent Au Photography and he was a joy to work with. It is so funny because when we showed our Same Day Edit he said “now I know what my images will look like.” and now that I have seen his photos I realize that one of both of our favorite moments was when Eusebius and Laura took a stroll on top of the beautiful rolling green hills!!!

It was such a joy to share in their day and we sure hope you have fun reliving some beautiful highlights!

Vincent Au - Great job! Love the same day edit and it was great working with you!

I just couldn’t wait to get this day posted for Stella + Brian… So I will be blogging about them soon!!!! but for now their Same Day Edit from yesterday…

UPDATE: 🙂
I am finally getting a second to sit down and try to put into words how lovely Stella and Brian are…. and I don’t know where to start … except for us, sharing in their day felt like fate. This was absolutely one of our very favorite couples and very favorite weddings…. While editing the same day edit, I seriously had a hard time choosing the perfect clips… as I could only fit so many into the length of the song.

What is nice about Stella and Brian is that they are genuinely in love and it comes across naturally. They are a perfect match. The other thing that allowed us to be really creative was that video and photography were very important to them. Because of this we had the opportunity to spend a few days with them before the actual wedding. This time spent definitely bonded us and allowed for Chris and I to understand them both individually and as a couple. It also made walking in at 7am a treat as Stella quickly greeted me and with a smile and a hug.

Their day was full of adventure and awe from the beautiful Huntington Hyatt, trolly rides, beaches and more. One of the really fun things, was all of the details that they had put into making a “Hollywood” themed wedding. They had movie posters, black and white films playing on their air wall and a place where their guests pretty much walked the red carpet for their close-up.

I can’t forget to mention that we had the opportunity of working with Jeffery of Jeffery Neal Photography. He was great to work with and a creative photographer who you can bounce ideas off of. I haven’t seen his photos from the day yet, but we are really excited to!!! We will update his link once he does a blog posting…

I can’t wait to edit together their final piece as there are so many wonderful things that couldn’t make it into the Same Day Edit….

Until then… Please enjoy the Same Day Edit that we edited and screened at Stella and Brian’s wedding reception!!

Here is their Mr. & Mrs. Smith spoof…. MR. & MRS. VOVAN.

They did such a great job reenacting Brad Pit and Angelina Jolie!

Rane - The Best ka cuz! It’s your show! Your time!
    ITS SHOWTIME!!!!

We were blessed to have been able to spend a few hours with BreAnne and Luke last night. We met up at Mimi’s cafe in Hayward to deliver their final DVD’s and ended up having a great time chatting and laughing. Anyway… BreAnne and Luke are one of our very favorite couples!!! You will see why in their highlight film. The first half of the film is their original Same Day Edit… Then it continues with the rest of their night! Hope you enjoy!

We also created a few special features for them.. But I think this is our favorite. It is a special video for Luke!

Here is a quote from BreAnne that was posted on Ashley Maxwell Photography Blog:

Luke’s only real request: “Luke gave me free reign to plan the wedding of my dreams. He told me that he knew that every little girl dreams of her wedding and the only thing he wanted was me…anybody need a paper bag?;)His one request was pancakes. He only wanted pancakes for dinner. He had talked about having pancakes at his wedding his whole life. Thank goodness we made this happen haha…”

Here is our tiny contribution to Lukes love of Pancakes!
