  • About Us

Jennifer Mae: "I am a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Film and Media Studies. Photography and Video have been a passion of mine since I was only 11 years old. The thing that I love most about shooting weddings, is getting to know the couples and becoming friends in the process!

Chris: "I am also a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Film and Media Studies. I have worked in the entertainment industry for as long as I can remember. The thing that I love most about shooting weddings, may sound pretty cliche, but it's true. I love capturing one of the happiest days in someone's life."

  • Why do we shoot weddings?

We love weddings! Everything about them! Each experience to us is fresh, new and exciting. We are definitely not the company that you hire if you are looking for someone to show up and hit record. Our passion is story telling and that is exactly what we do... Tell your story. We understand what it feels like to go through the process of a wedding :-) as we are a husband wife team and we have been there ourselves! One of the most important things in you coming together is that you are both individuals and we look for the unique qualities that make you fit perfectly as a couple! A wedding is much more than saying "I do". It is many days, months and in most cases many years in the making. We put as much love into capturing your day as you have put into creating it! We love working with couples who are as passionate about us capturing their wedding as we are :-) We would love to hear about your big day!

What a beautiful day!!! Maggie + Bert had such a fun wedding! It all started with prep over at the Mandarin oriental hotel in San Francisco. The ceremony took place in the lobby of the Merchants Exchange building. {this was the first time we were there} It was amazing how they transform the lobby into something magnificent.

Before we knew it, we were heading up the elevator to the Julia Morgan Ballroom on the 15th floor…. Maggie and Bert will tell you that the elevator didn’t want to cooperate. But finally after a few tries we got a really fun clip that transforms them from the night before as an engaged couple to their wedding night as husband and wife. {you will see it near the end of the Same Day Edit}

They had a live band called The Cheeseballs! sooo fun! Chris and I say that we are going to get married together again around our 10 year anniversary and one thing we will do differently is have a live band. Seriously, one of the most fun things at a wedding is a live band!

We also had the opportunity to work with Bootsy Hollar. She was such a doll!

The families and friends were really what made this day so special as we watched so much deep love and bonding happen throughout the day.

We hope you enjoy their day!

Peggy - As the MOB I can tell you that hiring Jennifer Mae and Chris was THE best choice I made throughout this year long process. It was a last minute decision to hire a videographer and I am so happy we did! Save on the food if you must but do hire this very talented young couple for your child’s wedding. As the parents we were caught in such a whirlwind the day of that my recollection is somewhat hazy. This allows me the luxury of living our daughter’s wedding day over and over again. We are thrilled with this marriage and this video. The fact that the opening scene features church bells is absolutely perfect. They got the solemnity of the ceremony and the rock and roll aspect of the reception! And while you are at it hire The Cheeseballs Band!

Patrick - What Major Diamond Productions has done is capture true love at its finest with the wedding of Maggie and Bert. As someone who has attended very few weddings, it was a fabulous day that was summarized by two adoring families coming together over the love of 2 individuals. Both the Henry’s and McGehee’s are wonderful people, and you couldn’t find a nicer couple. The stars have aligned for these two people–let’s hope that they are joined by a child in the next couple of years. The video was outstanding-and not surprising given the rave reviews. MDP is clearly at the top of its class in terms of videography for events. Thank you so much for capturing a truly captivating day. I wish Maggie and Bert a strong marriage in the future.

Emma Libby - I have never witnessed my best friend looking so breathtakingly beautiful as I did on this day. Bert, not to shabby yourself. Thank you Jennifer Mae & Chris for capturing the most precious of these moments on film.

Lisa Flippo - Awesome Video!! from One MOB to another.. I ditto everything you said, they were the best decision we made, what a way to remember the day… beautiful wedding – beautiful memories you have to remember like this.. ๐Ÿ™‚ My daughter’s wedding is posted right above this one. ๐Ÿ˜‰

We first met Stella + Rio at our local Starbucks. However, it wasn’t until about a month before the wedding that we heard the story of their meeting and proposal.

Here is what Stella said, “We were first introduced to each other at the San Francisco International Airport. It was 2 AM in the morning. Rio was living in Atlanta at that time but had decided to take a vacation to San Francisco. A friend of ours was picking him up and I tagged along.” She continued with the story of his proposal… “One night Rio took me back to the airport terminal where we first met. He played a Jason Mraz song that we both love called, “I’m Yours” …and right there he just asked me to be his wife, inside the car, as we sat in front of the domestic terminal gate at SFO.”

It’s funny how sometimes, by just showing up, we end up in exactly the place we are meant to be. Chris and I have found that many of the couples that we are drawn to, have a very similar story. A story of finding each other when they least expect it.

Throughout their day there was so much love, lots of laughter and many tears of joy shed. The warmth and love was undeniable and I can’t wait to create their extended Same Day Edit as there day was just overflowing!!! They were such a special couple that I did extend this a little longer than their original SDE to include a few extra clips. I also can’t wait to see the photos from Erwin Wijanto photography!!! I got a teaser from him at the reception and what I saw was amazing. It was great working with him. When he does a posting, I will add a link to the photos he took of Stella + Rio.

For those of you who were there, I hope this brings back some beautiful memories… And for those of you who couldn’t make it, I hope you feel like you were there while you watch this.

Enjoy!!!

Much love
Jennifer Mae + Chris

Annabelle Garcia - Rio & Stella, what a beautiful video of your precious day. Congratulations! You both looked spectacular.

We must give you a little back story on this day. Chris, myself and our assistant Delan decided to arrive a couple hours early to capture some extra details of Jinjie + James day. Shortly after arriving I gave Jinjie a ring. What I heard next would ruin any brides day. “The sprinklers went off it the hotel room and my dress was ruined.” What was strange was that Jinjie was quite calm. She was out of the room when it happened and was just getting back to the hotel, as she was picking up a special dress she had for her reception. The clock ticked as everyone tried to pull everything back together. Jinjie remained calm. Thank goodness she was super organized with all of her details perfectly protected and separated in a plastic bin. Her family, bridesmaids and friends rallied together to get every detail in place. And you would never know by watching their video that the day didn’t start as planned. I never got to see the dress she had planned to wear, but I can tell you one thing… She looked stunning in her Vera Wang! The day ended up being a beautiful day with an important focus on family and friends.

Enjoy!

We had such a fun day with Ben and Noni!!! They were drawn to the OLD SILENT FILM look, so we wanted to do something really fun and creative for their SAVE THE DATE! We ventured to many locations that were special to them. We began the day at Coit Tower, walked the streets of San Francisco and hopped on over to the actual location where BEN proposed to NONI !!! The Top of The Mark! It’s ironic because we ended, where there new beginning will start… The Palace Hotel… It was a great day! These two are such a fun loving couple that really wanted to do something unique for their day and I definitely think they pulled it off. Did I mention that they had never acted before? You would never believe it with this old Hollywood feel that they brought to life! Hope that you enjoy their little treat…. And remember to SAVE THE DATE.

Much love
Jennifer Mae + Chris

Ben & Noni - Wow! The movie was unbelievable. I (Ben) originally thought we should just go with the standard magnet save-the-dates, but the movie is so amazing. Thank you for spending the day with us and all the hard work that it took to make this movie. We can’t wait to see you at the wedding! August 6, 2011! The Beginning.
