  • About Us

Jennifer Mae: "I am a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Film and Media Studies. Photography and Video have been a passion of mine since I was only 11 years old. The thing that I love most about shooting weddings, is getting to know the couples and becoming friends in the process!

Chris: "I am also a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Film and Media Studies. I have worked in the entertainment industry for as long as I can remember. The thing that I love most about shooting weddings, may sound pretty cliche, but it's true. I love capturing one of the happiest days in someone's life."

  • Why do we shoot weddings?

We love weddings! Everything about them! Each experience to us is fresh, new and exciting. We are definitely not the company that you hire if you are looking for someone to show up and hit record. Our passion is story telling and that is exactly what we do... Tell your story. We understand what it feels like to go through the process of a wedding :-) as we are a husband wife team and we have been there ourselves! One of the most important things in you coming together is that you are both individuals and we look for the unique qualities that make you fit perfectly as a couple! A wedding is much more than saying "I do". It is many days, months and in most cases many years in the making. We put as much love into capturing your day as you have put into creating it! We love working with couples who are as passionate about us capturing their wedding as we are :-) We would love to hear about your big day!

Jessica Tuers - I saw the ceremony and reception were at cornerstone, but I saw a shot where the couple was signing a document at Ramekins Culinary School. What were they doing there?

Leading up to the wedding day of Ted and Ivana, we were blessed with much time to get to know each other. Mainly because we planned on doing a Spoof to show at their wedding. It all started with an idea that both Ted and Ivana had. They love the show “How I Met Your Mother” I think one because the main characters name is Ted… but also the similarities with how they first met. Not to mention that Ivana was carrying a red umbrella and the love interest on the show had a yellow umbrella. So we tried to come up with a creative way as a team to incorporate the different ideas into one short film.

After many rainy days canceling our shoots, we finally decided to push through. Although the rain works for the opening scene, we did have to do multiple days to get the other days in the sun.

These two are such troopers. From messy ice cream, to baby powder and rain storms they pulled off one really fun film. PLUS they are not actors.. so they really did a fantastic job….

That leads us to a few days ago… The real day that they had been waiting for… The main event… Ivana’s house was overflowing with family and friends who were all excited for the big day. We had a few big storms, but it seemed like it was clearing up… Ivana just glowed knowing that she would soon be walking down the aisle to Ted.

I have to admit that her Oscar De La Renta was beautiful on the hanger, but as soon as she put it on it became stunning!!! She was one of the prettiest brides I have ever seen.

As the day progressed, the storms continued, but the most beautiful thing came from it… Everyone worked together to make the day perfect. Family and friends, staff at Byington Vineyard, and vendors alike held umbrellas, carried decorations and more.

And most of all Ted and Ivana were married… they were both smiling and happy all day long…

The first video is the Same Day Edit that we created.. The second is the Spoof that we made.

Hope you enjoy!

Jeanne - Wow! This floored me at the reception. Thanks for making such a beautiful video for my brother & sister-in-law. You were an amazing team!

It is always so nice to get to know a couple before their wedding day!!! We had such a fun day shooting Myra + David’s {about us} before their wedding. It allowed us to see how deep their love is for each other. We learned how important their miniature pincher, Sophie, is to them, what a fantastic chef David is, and how well they compliment one another. Did I mention that Myra painted Sophie’s nails pink for the wedding?

Only a week later we spent a wonderful night at their penthouse with their friends and family during their rehearsal dinner where Myra’s mother proved that she was a very talented chef, after whipping up a terrific meal for 50 people. The night was full of laughter and many tears of joy!

The next morning everyone smiled and shared in their excitement for the day to come. The Hotel Shattuck staff was really a joy as they assisted with every need. While filming Myra’s dress suddenly we noticed a sensor still attached… Everyone had to band together to figure out how to get the sensor off with only a few hours before the ceremony. Family, friends and hotel staff worked hard and finally with a great sigh and many cheers the tag was removed!!!!

Some couples really want to see each other before the wedding in order to get some “shots” together. Whenever a couple asks us what do we think is best… being a bride I have to be honest and tell them that Chris and I didn’t see each other before hand. For us it was important to wait until the moment when I walked down the aisle. However, we did miss some opportunities for more photos one on one. In addition, it is always much more emotional when it happens in front of family and friends…. Nevertheless, cinematically speaking, it is great for us to have some creative footage to work with. So when a couple does want to see each other I suggest to do it alone, without brides maids and groomsmen waiting around for their photos. This allows for that special moment that is only about the bride and groom.

Why am I talking about this??? Well, because Myra and David had the dilemma of wanting images… but dreaming of the moment of first seeing each other when she walked down the aisle.. So the day before the wedding I awoke with a vision that they would meet.. but never see each other… I called Myra right away to see if she was game. The guys blindfolded David and we placed them in a way on the corner where we could see them and they could touch on another’s hand.. but neither one could see each other… not even in the mirror. It was amazing to feel the love between the two as they glanced down at each others hands.

When it was time for the ceremony.. It was hard to keep a dry eye in the house. I won’t reveal anymore.. You have to watch to see.

We just love love love Myra, David and their friends and family…

Much love
