  • About Us

Jennifer Mae: "I am a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Film and Media Studies. Photography and Video have been a passion of mine since I was only 11 years old. The thing that I love most about shooting weddings, is getting to know the couples and becoming friends in the process!

Chris: "I am also a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Film and Media Studies. I have worked in the entertainment industry for as long as I can remember. The thing that I love most about shooting weddings, may sound pretty cliche, but it's true. I love capturing one of the happiest days in someone's life."

  • Why do we shoot weddings?

We love weddings! Everything about them! Each experience to us is fresh, new and exciting. We are definitely not the company that you hire if you are looking for someone to show up and hit record. Our passion is story telling and that is exactly what we do... Tell your story. We understand what it feels like to go through the process of a wedding :-) as we are a husband wife team and we have been there ourselves! One of the most important things in you coming together is that you are both individuals and we look for the unique qualities that make you fit perfectly as a couple! A wedding is much more than saying "I do". It is many days, months and in most cases many years in the making. We put as much love into capturing your day as you have put into creating it! We love working with couples who are as passionate about us capturing their wedding as we are :-) We would love to hear about your big day!

Three words:

God

Basketball

Love

I wish I could have added Leann’s fathers toast into the Same Day Edit {but it will of course be in their final DVD 🙂 }.  He really said it all about these two.

From who Leann was as a girl growing up to the woman she is today now married to the man of her dreams.

These two were made for each other.  Just read the proposal in Leann’s words:

“Michael’s clever sisters, Tracy & Michelle, told me that we were going to have a girls’ day, which entailed lunch and checking out a venue for Tracy’s work.  I hadn’t had some good quality hang-out time with them in awhile, so this date made perfect sense to me.  After a yummy lunch at Gayle’s in Capitola, we drove to Seascape Resort where Tracy had her “appointment.”  The resort has special meaning to Michael & I, so I couldn’t stop talking about our memories made there while walking up to the entrance.  When we got inside, Tracy’s husband Chris was there.  After an awkward exchange between Tracy and Chris, I was even more confused as to what was going on and why Chris came to her appointment.  All of a sudden, it got quiet, and all three of them just stood there, smiling at me.  Chris then said “Mike’s on the beach and has something to ask you.”  My heart skipped a beat, and I finally put together what was happening.  I was in shock.  I literally had no idea I would be proposed to that day (which is always what I wanted).  My heart was racing, I was so excited, and I remember that I just wanted to get to Michael and see him.  Chris escorted  me down a path, and delivered me to my brother Evan, who was waiting on a bridge before I got to the beach.  I got even more teary.  Evan walked me to the sand, and then told me where to walk to meet Michael.  I couldn’t wait, so when I finally saw Michael I started to run.  He said the nicest things to me, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him, officially making me the happiest person on the planet.  The day was perfect, and when I reflect on it, all I can do is smile and thank God for giving me such a thoughtful, sweet, and loving man.”

The love and support of their friends and family was apparent and continued through their wedding day… It was so beautiful to watch everyone coming together to make this day amazing for them!

We hope you enjoy just a little taste of their day!

Emily + Sean = fun
Emily + Sean = Romantic
Emily + Sean = Love

We had such a blast shooting these engagement photos in Portland. From throwing leaves up in the air, to playing on swings at the playground where Sean grew up, it was easy to see why these two are getting married! They are absolutely perfect for one another. They made our “job” easy, because they just let themselves have fun. Sean actually kept saying “I’m having so much fun!” They are such a great balance of romantic and quirky. We are so excited about their wedding in May! They are getting married in the coolest BARN! A dream of mine! We hope you enjoy!
