  • About Us

Jennifer Mae: "I am a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Film and Media Studies. Photography and Video have been a passion of mine since I was only 11 years old. The thing that I love most about shooting weddings, is getting to know the couples and becoming friends in the process!

Chris: "I am also a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Film and Media Studies. I have worked in the entertainment industry for as long as I can remember. The thing that I love most about shooting weddings, may sound pretty cliche, but it's true. I love capturing one of the happiest days in someone's life."

  • Why do we shoot weddings?

We love weddings! Everything about them! Each experience to us is fresh, new and exciting. We are definitely not the company that you hire if you are looking for someone to show up and hit record. Our passion is story telling and that is exactly what we do... Tell your story. We understand what it feels like to go through the process of a wedding :-) as we are a husband wife team and we have been there ourselves! One of the most important things in you coming together is that you are both individuals and we look for the unique qualities that make you fit perfectly as a couple! A wedding is much more than saying "I do". It is many days, months and in most cases many years in the making. We put as much love into capturing your day as you have put into creating it! We love working with couples who are as passionate about us capturing their wedding as we are :-) We would love to hear about your big day!

I love the story of Shaila + Scott! Not only do I love their story, but I love how their family and friends came together in order to create the incredible vision that they had for their wedding. This was definitely an event that was more than “I Do” it was “We do”. Shaila had a vision to get married at Scott’s parents House in Truckee. The obstacle that they faced was that their land was all forest with no place for a ceremony or reception. Well over the past 6 months they worked beside their family and friends every weekend using bulldozers, shovels, chainsaws and their bare hands to create every piece of the wedding from that forest. They cleared the land, sawed the trees, built the pews, stained the seats… You name it, it was a labor of love.

Over the last year, we got to learn more and more about what they were doing to create their space. When we finally met in person, I asked Shaila if she could film part of construction that was going into this day. The big thing was that this day was much more than the two of them walking up the aisle, it was a commitment from their family to stand behind them because they have so much faith in their love.

We came up the night before and finally were in the presence of what we had only seen photos of and chatted about. I have to say I was completely blown away! Knowing the love of Truckee that Shaila and Scott had and seeing the beauty with our own eyes, we knew that it was just as important to capture as putting on “the dress”. The morning of their wedding {Saturday} Chris went out to find that beauty that drew these two here. The whole opening is really dedicated to Truckee and the friends and family who made this amazing day happen!

There are so many amazing details that I couldn’t fit into the Same Day Edit, so it makes me so excited for their Extended Highlight 🙂 I think that Shaila wins the Pinterest award of the year, because she had every detail taken care of without missing a beat.

Oh… I must say that Shaila’s wedding dress was one of the most beautiful that I have ever seen! It was absolutely PERFECT!!! It was unlike any other.

I think the nicest part of sharing in their day was watching how much they were loved by all! Even the officiant said during the ceremony that after meeting Shaila that he had hoped that his son would be lucky enough to meet someone like her. It was so hard to hold back the tears.

Shaila refers to Scott as being like a teddy bear and he really is. He has such an infectious smile. He is so sweet and kind and always smiling.

It is so clear that these two are going to have a wonderful life together filled with love and support from one another and surrounded by that same love and support from their friends and family.

Congrats! This was the film shown at their reception, so we hope that you enjoy reliving just a tiny bit of their experience!

Much love
Jennifer Mae, Chris and Christine!

Judy Schnabel - Gorgeous!!!! What a beautiful wedding. Loved the video. Congratulations to the newlyweds.

Lori and Armen were such a joy to be around! They are a fun, playful, upbeat couple who have a beautiful love for each other and an inspiring heart for tradition and family. You can instantly tell that they are best friends, always laughing and smiling together. I will never forget the look on Armen’s face when he turned around to see his bride for the first time. His face lit up with awe, his eyes big with excitement, and a HUGE smile from one ear to the other, and the words, “I love you.” Without a doubt,

these two were made for each other.
