  • About Us

Jennifer Mae: "I am a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Film and Media Studies. Photography and Video have been a passion of mine since I was only 11 years old. The thing that I love most about shooting weddings, is getting to know the couples and becoming friends in the process!

Chris: "I am also a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Film and Media Studies. I have worked in the entertainment industry for as long as I can remember. The thing that I love most about shooting weddings, may sound pretty cliche, but it's true. I love capturing one of the happiest days in someone's life."

  • Why do we shoot weddings?

We love weddings! Everything about them! Each experience to us is fresh, new and exciting. We are definitely not the company that you hire if you are looking for someone to show up and hit record. Our passion is story telling and that is exactly what we do... Tell your story. We understand what it feels like to go through the process of a wedding :-) as we are a husband wife team and we have been there ourselves! One of the most important things in you coming together is that you are both individuals and we look for the unique qualities that make you fit perfectly as a couple! A wedding is much more than saying "I do". It is many days, months and in most cases many years in the making. We put as much love into capturing your day as you have put into creating it! We love working with couples who are as passionate about us capturing their wedding as we are :-) We would love to hear about your big day!

Where to begin?

We met Kelsi and Alex a couple months before their wedding and when we sat down we found out so many fun things about these two. However, one thing really stood out was the juxtaposition between their masculine and feminine energies. On their wedding day Alex planned to go to the shooting range with the guys… We knew that this was an important element of the day. Next we found out that Kelsi planned a really fun day with the girls at the nail salon. Ah Ha!!! Perfect! With their personalities, we knew this would make for a story element that would be unique to only them. Chris loved hanging out with the guys at the range! and Christine went out to shoot this once in a lifetime experience with the girls who had a whole nail salon open to only them.

What we didn’t know until the morning of the wedding was that Kelsi’s favorite movie opening was Legally Blond. I quickly watched it on my iphone and noticed the way the titling was mixed with very girly close-ups of nails, lips and eyes. Christine and I definitely wanted to add a little bit of this feeling to their film as well.

Their location was so beautiful. They found this great place called Clos LaChance WInery in San Martin. It was perfect as it had an amazing two bedroom suite that overlooked the vineyards and was the perfect place to get ready for the day. Their ceremony was out on the amazing lawn that was set with its back to the sun… and the reception was in the main area of the winery.

We were thrilled to also shoot with BreAnne and Luke of 1985 Luke Photography that day! We love shooting with them. You may remember them as one of our couples that we filmed 3 years ago. Well over the years they have become not only our friends, but a photography team that has really blossomed. They are super creative and fun to work with and really come up with some great images. On most occasions you will find Luke break dancing during the reception which is always a hit!

We just loved sharing in such a beautiful day with Kelsi + Alex. It was a day filled with love between all of their family and friends.
They also had such cute details… I will post some of our images that we took. I will also add the link to the incredible photos when we get the link from Bre and Luke, so you can see their amazing work!!!

For now enjoy their Next Day Edit…

Courtney - Gorgeous! And an amazing song! Would expect nothing less from MDP ๐Ÿ™‚

If there was one word to describe Danny + Vika’s day it would be..SURPRISE.

Yes, everyone did know that there would be a wedding, but what they didn’t know was that the day would be filled with lots of personal treasures.

This began about 6 months ago when Danny and Vika decided to surprise their guests with a choreographed tap routine as their first dance. This was
a journey that they embarked on together with neither one ever having any previous experience. They were super dedicated as they spent multiple days and many hours every week practicing.
They first had to learn how to tap, and then they had to learn the choreography for their show stoping performance.

However, their wedding day didn’t begin with a tap dance, but rather with the groomsmen getting a proper “shave” at Peoples Barber shop in San Francisco.

Meanwhile, over at the St. Regis Hotel, Vika was planning a little something of her own… That morning she cut her hair into the cutest over the shoulder style. This was the hair style that she had when the two of them fell in love. She wanted to surprise Danny, so he had no idea until their first look. He was thrilled, as she looked adorable!

Their next secret that they had planned for the guests was revealed when Danny’s parents walked down the aisle with him. They both gave him a big hug and then… his father walked up to the front and took the position of the officiant. It was absolutely perfect.

Then, right after they were pronounced husband and wife, a mariachi band that had been hidden away, came out to play live for the newlyweds as they walked down the aisle together. The guests were shocked.

As I mentioned, they kept their first dance a complete secret from everyone… not a soul, except us, knew about this journey that they had taken with Rosie Radiator of Royce Gallery in San Francisco. So when they came out for their grand entrance, each at an opposite side of the dance floor, there were many confused faces… That is, until the music kicked in and these two began tapping…. Ahhhh, it was amazing!

They continued on with the reception until their cake cutting. Then, with their careful planning, Rosie, their instructor and a crew of dancers, crashed the wedding to do a special performance. And yes, you guessed it… Danny and Vika joined in during the final number.

So, what does this all mean? Well Danny and Vika are two of the most fun people that we have met. They really went out of their way to make their wedding a memorable experience for all of their guests. They wanted their day to be different, unpredictable and exciting. From the very first phone conversation that we had with them, we knew that they were special and that this was a day that we wanted to be part of. We loved how much thought they put into everything and how important it was for them to participate in their wedding. When we first met them up with them at the dance studio we saw their dedication and heart. Together they are always happy… On their wedding day, not only did Dany and Vika always have a smile on their face, but so did everyone who surrounded them.

We live for couples like Danny + Vika, who are kind, creative, fun and so much more. We knew about all of their surprises for the guests, and realized that maybe, just maybe they loved surprises themselves ๐Ÿ™‚

So, we decided to surprise them. We did something that we have only done for a few select couples over the years… a surprise Same Day Edit!!! The two who thought that they were so sneaky… were actually SURPRISED themselves!

It was also our pleasure to work once again with Taleen of Simple Little details, as she is such an amazing coordinator and a pleasure to work with. She really assured that it was a perfect day! We also want to give a shout out to Oliver and Cindy Dumlao of Verstyle photography. We haven’t seen any of the images yet, but we will include the link once we have it ๐Ÿ™‚ They were very easygoing, creative and fun to work with and we look forward to shooting together in the future.

We feel blessed to have shared in such a beautiful day! We really loved capturing all of their special moments. Below you will find their Same Day Edit and some detail shots that we took throughout the day.

We hope that you enjoy just a taste of their amazing amazing!

Much love

Pat McElmury - As a parent, watching my son marry his beautiful bride was one of the happiest moments of my life. Watching the โ€œSame Day Editโ€, by Major Diamond Productions, brings back that same wonderful feeling of happiness, and a smile to my face, each time I watch it. I can hardly wait to see the complete version. They (MDP) were so professional, and friendly, well equipped, and inconspicuous as they worked. I thank you, and highly recommend you.

Victoria & Michael are two of the sweetest people that we have ever met! Once we met their family, it was clear to us why they are so kind and gracious.
Their families are so supportive of their love and their dreams. Their laughter throughout the day was contagious.
It felt like Christmas morning all day long!

The dress was custom designed at Atelier des modistes in San Francisco,
the cutest little boutique on Hyde Street in San Francisco.

They were married at the oldest Greek Orthodox church west of the Mississippi, Holy Trinity in San Francisco. The history at this sacred place goes back generations.
Knowing that Victoria’s parents were married in this church, it made it even more special that both sets of parents came up to the altar to hug one another and to
support these two in their first kiss ๐Ÿ™‚

One of the coolest things that I have ever seen, was the motorcade that Gary arranged to assist Victoria in arriving to the chapel on time.
As soon as we arrived to the church, Victoria said to me with eyes wide open, “Can you believe it? If we didn’t have the escort we wouldn’t have made it to the ceremony on time! It would have taken at least two hours…” She was right.

Their reception was perfection! Her mother, Tina, outdid herself with stunning design and detail. It was pure elegance.

From the first time we met until their thank you email the next day, we were amazed by these two and their families. Chris and I can only hope that one day our son turns out to be as kind, loving, gracious as these two.

We hope that you enjoy just a little taste of their perfect day!
