  • About Us

Jennifer Mae: "I am a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Film and Media Studies. Photography and Video have been a passion of mine since I was only 11 years old. The thing that I love most about shooting weddings, is getting to know the couples and becoming friends in the process!

Chris: "I am also a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Film and Media Studies. I have worked in the entertainment industry for as long as I can remember. The thing that I love most about shooting weddings, may sound pretty cliche, but it's true. I love capturing one of the happiest days in someone's life."

  • Why do we shoot weddings?

We love weddings! Everything about them! Each experience to us is fresh, new and exciting. We are definitely not the company that you hire if you are looking for someone to show up and hit record. Our passion is story telling and that is exactly what we do... Tell your story. We understand what it feels like to go through the process of a wedding :-) as we are a husband wife team and we have been there ourselves! One of the most important things in you coming together is that you are both individuals and we look for the unique qualities that make you fit perfectly as a couple! A wedding is much more than saying "I do". It is many days, months and in most cases many years in the making. We put as much love into capturing your day as you have put into creating it! We love working with couples who are as passionate about us capturing their wedding as we are :-) We would love to hear about your big day!

UPDATE:::: WE HAVE REPLACED THEIR SAME DAY EDIT WITH THEIR FULL HIGHLIGHT…

I love the story of Shaila + Scott! Not only do I love their story, but I love how their family and friends came together in order to create the incredible vision that they had for their wedding. This was definitely an event that was more than “I Do” it was “We do”. Shaila had a vision to get married at Scott’s parents House in Truckee. The obstacle that they faced was that their land was all forest with no place for a ceremony or reception. Well over the past 6 months they worked beside their family and friends every weekend using bulldozers, shovels, chainsaws and their bare hands to create every piece of the wedding from that forest. They cleared the land, sawed the trees, built the pews, stained the seats… You name it, it was a labor of love.

Over the last year, we got to learn more and more about what they were doing to create their space. When we finally met in person, I asked Shaila if she could film part of construction that was going into this day. The big thing was that this day was much more than the two of them walking up the aisle, it was a commitment from their family to stand behind them because they have so much faith in their love.

We came up the night before and finally were in the presence of what we had only seen photos of and chatted about. I have to say I was completely blown away! Knowing the love of Truckee that Shaila and Scott had and seeing the beauty with our own eyes, we knew that it was just as important to capture as putting on “the dress”. The morning of their wedding {Saturday} Chris went out to find that beauty that drew these two here. The whole opening is really dedicated to Truckee and the friends and family who made this amazing day happen!

I think that Shaila wins the Pinterest award of the year, because she had every detail taken care of without missing a beat.

Oh… I must say that Shaila’s wedding dress was one of the most beautiful that I have ever seen! It was absolutely PERFECT!!! It was unlike any other.

I think the nicest part of sharing in their day was watching how much they were loved by all! Even the officiant said during the ceremony that after meeting Shaila that he had hoped that his son would be lucky enough to meet someone like her. It was so hard to hold back the tears.

Shaila refers to Scott as being like a teddy bear and he really is. He has such an infectious smile. He is so sweet and kind and always smiling.

It is so clear that these two are going to have a wonderful life together filled with love and support from one another and surrounded by that same love and support from their friends and family.

Congrats! The first song is the same day edit that we had shown at their reception. Now we have added to it to create their full highlight!

We really hope that you enjoy looking into such a beautiful day!

Much love

Fierce!!!

That is the one word to describe Janice and Bambo!

From the very first call that we received from Bambo we totally clicked!!! They both had so many ideas about a video that they wanted to
do. The most important thing was they wanted it to be different than every other “Save the Date” that anyone has ever seen.

The love Jay-Z.
They loved the trailer from The Great Gatsby.
They have huge parties every year that they are know for throwing amongst their friends.
They love to surprise people.
They are Fierce!!!….!!!!
and Epic is what we all aimed for it!

We had many shoot days. We flew in Helicopter’s together, drove through the streets of San Francisco with our Mark III attached to Bambo’s car,
had 30 extra’s working alongside to create an incredible party scene in a super cool lounge that we rented and much more. They are incredibly dedicated and made it so much fun to create such a fun project together. Through the process we became
great friends! We LOVE them!

Luke shoot behind the scenes photographs during the party scene that we shot using THE RED EPIC cinema camera. We will be adding them to the post to follow.

Bambo and Janice wanted to create an experience for their guests leading up to their event.
First, they didn’t tell anyone, including family about the video.
Second, they sent out a post card with their photo and only their private website address on it. No other info.
Next, when people went to that site they only could see the video.
So where are we now??? People know the dat, but nothing else… Not even the location.
Soon they will mailing a formal invitation, but surprises will continue.

It is so wonderful to create alongside such an amazing couple who is as excited about the experience for their guests as they are to be getting married!

We are so excited about their Epic Wedding!!!

In the meantime, enjoy their Epic Wedding Save the Date.

Courtney + Travis have become not only our client, but our friend. We all clicked from the first moment on the phone and it has been a wonderful ride ever since.

They were married Thanksgiving weekend at Casa Real… and I have to say every detail was stunning. There was so much love from all of their family and friends that the whole day felt like heaven. BreAnne and Luke were there as well! And BreAnne designed the incredible Jewelry that Courtney was wearing. They did the photos for Courtney and Travis’ Save the Date. We also had the pleasure of shooting with Ashley MAxwell again. She is one of our favorite photographers and we are always excited to see her final post on a wedding. We have posted some of the images that we took at the wedding, but we will update with Ashley’s link once she posts her images. I am sure they will be incredible as their sneak peek of their engagement was amazing. It felt like a family reunion with all of our favorite people there.

We hope that you enjoy their Same Day Edit and some of the photos that we took from their day.
