  • About Us

Jennifer Mae: "I am a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Film and Media Studies. Photography and Video have been a passion of mine since I was only 11 years old. The thing that I love most about shooting weddings, is getting to know the couples and becoming friends in the process!

Chris: "I am also a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Film and Media Studies. I have worked in the entertainment industry for as long as I can remember. The thing that I love most about shooting weddings, may sound pretty cliche, but it's true. I love capturing one of the happiest days in someone's life."

  • Why do we shoot weddings?

We love weddings! Everything about them! Each experience to us is fresh, new and exciting. We are definitely not the company that you hire if you are looking for someone to show up and hit record. Our passion is story telling and that is exactly what we do... Tell your story. We understand what it feels like to go through the process of a wedding :-) as we are a husband wife team and we have been there ourselves! One of the most important things in you coming together is that you are both individuals and we look for the unique qualities that make you fit perfectly as a couple! A wedding is much more than saying "I do". It is many days, months and in most cases many years in the making. We put as much love into capturing your day as you have put into creating it! We love working with couples who are as passionate about us capturing their wedding as we are :-) We would love to hear about your big day!

We had so much fun creating this promo for Megan Nicole.

If you don’t know who she is, check her out on her youtube page.  She is a very talented artist who is incredibly dedicated to pushing the limits to create something unique and fun!

As a team, the group of us a Major Diamond came together to really push our own limits. We were incredibly proud of each and everyone on our team.

Each team member contributing a skill.

Christine, did an amazing job storyboarding our shot list for us, choreographing the fight scene and teaching it to Megan and Benedict.

Who, by the way,  were both “ROCK STARS ” during the whole shoot. They both gave it their all and were completely dedicated no matter how late the shoot and I think it shows.

We all participated in cinematography throughout the process, but the real look of the video came from Chris who was assisted by Julian in creating amazing lighting and camera movement.

Jennifer Mae Directed the promo and really worked hard organizing and making sure everything happened.

Shannon Stellmacher created such a beautiful look to Megan with her make-up artistry. We just love working with her… side note: She is an amazing photographer.

Julianne Chai of Prettyologie was a master with the “locks” 🙂

Luke one of our fav’s showed up and took some great Behind the Scenes photos for Major Diamond … and also made his appearance in the video 🙂 No… He didn’t breakdance this time 🙂

Our Behind the scenes crew who worked so hard with the talent and extras as well as making sure everything was running smoothly were:

Reaa Puri, Daisy Dai, Brett Tanonaka and Vianka Valdes-Rubio.. A special thank you to all of you!!!

There were 30 extras there who were key to creating the mood.  We thank each and everyone of you who showed up looking amazing, being professional and really generous with your time.

And to really make it all work for the party scene… Berkeley City Club was amazing! Their role was key, as they provided more than we had hoped for.  Not only were we able to use the space, but the staff was incredible.  They went above and beyond to make this happen. Especially Sandy, the club’s senior sales and event manager.  She arranged everything, worked with the chef and kitchen staff to add another level to the production, and stayed really late! We can’t thank you enough… It is such a great place!!!

Check it out… It is such a fun and creative way to announce an album… We had a blast in every area on the production of this.. We are so proud of everyone who worked on it and I thank everyone for their time, dedication and love throughout!

Much love

Jennifer Mae

Amy + Skot

What we think of with Amy and Skot

Quirky – Creative – intelligent – artistic – in love

Location: Thomas Fogarty Winery – Woodside California
Such a beautiful place! We just love shooting there! Amy + Skot were so fun and had one of the most unique and creative ceremonies that we have been a part of.
We actually extended out their Same day edit longer after the wedding to include some things that we felt needed to be added. It was so beautiful and extremely powerful.

We hope that you enjoy just a little of their day!

Much love
Jennifer Mae

From the very first call that we received from Bambo and Janice we totally clicked!!! They both had so many ideas about a video that they wanted to do. The most important thing was they wanted it to be different than every other “Save the Date” that anyone has ever seen. They were so open to ideas and excited about creating something that seemed impossible…

Some things that we thought about when coming up with the plan:
They love Jay-Z.
They love the trailer for The Great Gatsby.
They have huge parties every year that they are know for throwing amongst their friends.
They love to surprise people.
They are more willing than most people that we know to step outside of their comfort zone in order to be creative!!!
Our keyword for this project was EPIC.

For the majority of the shooting it was just a crew of two.. Husband and wife team, Chris and Jennifer Mae.
For the Club Scene. Jennifer Mae and Chris were able to shoot at Monroe in San Francisco. This was shot with the RED EPIC In addition, our team included two assistants working on wardrobe and details and our dear friend Luke took behind the scenes photos…
We also had many extras who worked and had a great time in creating the party scene at Monroe.
In the helicopter, Christine and Jennifer Mae shot with the Red Epic and the Canon MKIII.
For the driving shots We used the Canon MKIII.

The Thumbnail photo was taken by Warren Difranco. Loved working with him!

Janice and Bambo were incredibly dedicated and made it so much fun to create such a unique project together.
Through the process we became great friends! We LOVE them!
Although the Save the Date is intended to be larger than life, these two in real life are extremely down to earth, and two of the kindest, most thoughtful and dedicated individuals that we know. Together they make an amazing team!

Bambo and Janice wanted to create an experience for their guests leading up to their event. Having been through the process myself as a bride and shooting hundreds of weddings, I know how difficult it is to do something different than everyone else. So, when they said they wanted to do something that would allow for such creativity, we were all in and wanted to make it as Epic as possible.

It is so wonderful to create alongside such an amazing couple, who is as excited about the experience for their guests, as they are to be getting married to one another! We have seen hundreds of couples from all walks of life and all budgets. But not many compare to their commitment to one another.

We are so excited about their Epic Wedding!!!

In the meantime, enjoy their Epic Wedding Save the Date.
