Shelly + Matt {Same Day Edit}

We met Shelly back in October 2010 when she was the Maid of Honor for one of our favorite brides, BreAnne. When we posted BreAnne and Luke’s wedding we talked about how they are one of our favorite couples… and how much we truly love their friends and family. Well… I must say the love and warmth that was at Shelly and Matt’s wedding blew us away. Not only are they now one of our favorite couples.. but they are one of our favorite families!

We started the day at the Flippo’s house, which was one of the coolest places that we have been to… we would have enjoyed spending the whole week there.
Shelly and Matt were the perfect subjects next to the rustic barn. We had so many fun places to shoot that we were all in heaven. The “We All” includes one of our favorite photographers Ashley Maxwell.. and Luke who is currently building his portfolio! Make sure you check out their work! Eric even pulled out his super cool orange tractor and let us do some fun shots with it!

Their reception took place at Coyote Ranch and was the perfect location. It created a wonderful family atmosphere with many nooks and crannies to get lost in. They had an incredible bbq! At first I think the smoke from the grill seemed to be too much, but once the ceremony started it created a beautiful haze/smoke behind everyone! You will see it in the film! It was tough to keep a dry eye as the love that Shelly and Matt was undeniable!

There is definitely a difference when we spend the day with someone who is truly excited about their photo and video as the excitement comes across in their final film. From the second we arrived to the second we left my husband Chris and I plus our two assistants Christine + Kyle had a great time capturing every little detail with ease. Something else that was beautiful to see was the way that the family and friends all came together. I must say between Carolyn, Lisa and the many others who organized the timeline and responsibilities everything came off without a hitch. To watch everyone with their assignment set everything up and then break everything down… it was one of the best organized events we have seen.

One of the most exciting things for our cinematography team is showing the {SAME DAY EDIT} as it allows the couple and the family to experience their day in a way that they can stop for a second and bring it all back…. They can also see things and be part of moments that they never saw because they weren’t there or simply because they are the subject that they never see throughout the day.. themselves. 🙂 For us it was a treat to share our perspective of the day with them.

The day ended with all of their guests lining up with sparklers… creating a tunnel for Shelly + Matt to run under. It was soooo beautiful… I can’t wait to do their final edit so I can share that super cool moment.

Please enjoy a little piece of the beautiful day shared by Shelly + Matt!!!!
