BreAnne + Luke {Same Day Edit} Big Band Style… Sir Francis Drake… San Francisco

One of the best things about creating a wedding film for couples is the adventure in trying to create something that is perfect for them. Because of this, we LOVE to meet up and spend some time with our couples to get to know a little about them. For us… wedding cinematography is about telling a story that reflects each couple. When we first spoke to BreAnne the first week of January, we knew that she was incredibly sweet, but it wasn’t until we had a chance to meet up with her, her mom and Carolyn that we realized that this was going to be a treat! That day we found out that BreAnne + Luke loved big band music and would be having The Bill Travis Swing Orchestra and that every aspect of the wedding would have the feel of “another time”.

We had the honor of being present at their rehearsal and dinner so we were able to spend a little time with the most important people in their lives and witness the true love that everyone had for them.  Both the Cunningham family and The Flippos were kind, thoughtful, generous and just simply thrilled that BreAnne + Luke had found one another. Both Chris and I had to hold back the tears as BreAnne walked down the aisle.

Throughout the day there were so many details that were symbolic and incredibly important to them. From the special watch that Luke had been dreaming of that BreAnne surprised him with! The creative mocktails, custom etsy place cards and candy sticks, to the fantastic dream realized by Luke to have a big stack of pancakes at his wedding. {you will notice the delectable stack with syrup in the film}

I am also so excited to see the photos from Ashley Maxwell Photography!!!  The second I met her, I could see why they wanted her to shoot their wedding.  She was just as sweet, creative and really great to work with.

At first BreAnne was unsure about having the SAME DAY EDIT, but a couple months ago decided to go for it… and last night both her and her family said they were thrilled they did it. We decided to do something  a little different and create an opening that reflected their love of the 20’s.  So you will notice a short little intro before the “main feature” where we used the footage from the rehearsal and set-up to make it feel like an old film.  FUN FUN FUN… We used “Sing Sing Sing”, a number BreAnne loves and performed in high school and mixed it with another favorite of theirs from Michael Buble!!!!

I can’t wait to put together their final highlight, as they had such an amazing reception… plus they drove off in the “get away car” with the “get away dress”

Thanks BreAnne + Luke for sharing your day with us!!! Hope you enjoy reliving some of you highlights!!!!

Much love
Jennifer Mae + Chris
