  • About Us

Jennifer Mae: "I am a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Film and Media Studies. Photography and Video have been a passion of mine since I was only 11 years old. The thing that I love most about shooting weddings, is getting to know the couples and becoming friends in the process!

Chris: "I am also a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Film and Media Studies. I have worked in the entertainment industry for as long as I can remember. The thing that I love most about shooting weddings, may sound pretty cliche, but it's true. I love capturing one of the happiest days in someone's life."

  • Why do we shoot weddings?

We love weddings! Everything about them! Each experience to us is fresh, new and exciting. We are definitely not the company that you hire if you are looking for someone to show up and hit record. Our passion is story telling and that is exactly what we do... Tell your story. We understand what it feels like to go through the process of a wedding :-) as we are a husband wife team and we have been there ourselves! One of the most important things in you coming together is that you are both individuals and we look for the unique qualities that make you fit perfectly as a couple! A wedding is much more than saying "I do". It is many days, months and in most cases many years in the making. We put as much love into capturing your day as you have put into creating it! We love working with couples who are as passionate about us capturing their wedding as we are :-) We would love to hear about your big day!

Jessenia - Jennifer and Chris accomplished something that was beyond my dreams for my wedding day. On a last minute urgent hunt for someone to shoot my wedding I came across a link my bridesmaid had sent months ago with Jennifer and Chris’s website.

I called and the rest was magic. They were wonderful people, inside and out. By far the best decision I could have made. They made everyone around them feel comfortable and happy, as they should on the wedding day!

Thank you so much Jennifer and Chris! Eddie and I loved what you did for us on that day!

We just love Michelle + Chris…. and the lovlies…. Janessa + Jazlynn!!!! We had the opportunity to spend some time with the whole family months before the wedding on a few occasions, so by the time the big day arrived it felt like they were old friends. We did something unique with them where we went out shooting with both them and their girls. It was so much fun to learn about the family on a more intimate level. We enjoyed a “chilly” day in Tilden park {check out the photos from that day here}. And on that day we were able to create a little piece to show their friends and family on their special day! It is so adorable when Janessa says “I think my dad will look handsome”. She became sooooo shy at that moment! Jazlynn opened up by telling us about a special prayer that her and her dad say every night, and they both ended up reciting it for us. Both of these beautiful girls are so bright, loving and kind. I think this has something to do with their wonderful mommy Michelle. Janessa says “she’s the best mom anyone could ever have.” This is the piece that we shared with their family and friends on the day of their wedding!!!

And this is the Same Day edit that we screened. We had so much fun the night before. They decided to do their rehearsal and then have a rollerskating party afterwards with pizza. Which I must add was yummy! THE THEME WAS 70’s!!! I even joined in with a paisley shirt and an Afro wig! {I will have to post that soon!} Anyway, the next day was just crazy to say the least! It was a true party! Michelle + Chris had the time of their lives. For those who have seen it hope you enjoy it again, for those who missed it we hope you feel like you were there and for everyone else just enjoy a wonderful celebration!

I am glad to have met you both, and am happy that you were a part of that memorable moment. Welcome to the “Hall Family”!

Michael Hendrix - Beautiful pic love you guys ….. Mikey-d

I don’t even know where to start. o.k. how about the beginning…. We decided to arrive a little early to Jinjie and James first location to get some additional prep shots. So, I gave Jinjie a quick ring on her cell to see if she was around. What I heard next was more than I think any bride could handle, especially on her wedding day.
The sprinklers went off in her room and her wedding dress and bridesmaids hair {who had already been styled} had now become a wet mess.

Luckily, Jinjie was not in the room when this happened. as she out was picking up her reception dress. On the phone she was cool, calm and collected, even with only a few hours to go before her ceremony. The next few hours the “timeline” had to significantly change and everyone had to pull together to help the day run smoothly. The attempts at dry cleaning ended up impossible and Jinjie… with a smile… put on her incredible Vera Wang dress, intended for her reception, and stunned everyone with her style and grace. She just glowed!

At the end of the day it was all about Jinjie, James and their kids! It was about this bond and the desire to be the best couple and the best parents. As an outsider, all I could think was… wow, what a role model for their children to see a woman take on a difficult challenge and remain loving, kind and a beautiful example.

I can’t wait to share their highlight as there were so many amazing moments that just can’t fit into a short trailer. We had also taken some photos, so we wanted to share a few with everyone! Hope you enjoy a little peek into the day of JInjie + James.

Much love
Jen Mae + Chris
